Common Questions

What does PrismoFlux do?

It joins one network, such as a hotel or office Wi-Fi, and builds a private network of your own on top of it for your other devices. You choose the DNS, the VPN and the rules for each device.

Why can't my iPhone host the network?

Apple doesn't allow apps to create Wi-Fi networks on iPhone or iPad. Personal Hotspot can share your cellular data, and PrismoFlux guides you through it, but it can't share the Wi-Fi your iPhone is on. A Mac, PC or Android device can be the host instead.

Do I need an account?

No. PrismoFlux runs on your devices and never asks you to sign in.

Why does a feature say "Unknown" or "Guided"?

PrismoFlux only marks a feature as working after it has tested it on your device. Unknown means it hasn't been measured yet. Guided means your operating system needs you to flip a switch yourself, and the app walks you through it.

How do I get the beta?

The beta is invite-only for now. Send a message below with the topic Beta Access and tell us which devices you use.

Will it change my computer's settings?

Only while your network is on, and only after showing you each change. Everything it changes is recorded first and put back when you stop sharing, even after a crash.

How do I delete my data?

Everything is stored on your device. Use Erase All in the app's settings, or delete the app.
